Gays for Trump founder Peter Boykin [YouTube] The founder of Gays for Trump has thrown his hat in the ring for a seat in the North Carolina state legislature. Peter Boykin, who owns internet radio station MAGA (Make America Great Again) One, is running for the state’s House of Representative in the November 2018 election. He is a Republican candidate in the 58 th house district election, a district which covers much of Greensboro and traditionally leans Democratic. ‘I want to ensure people of all walks of life are treated with dignity and respect so long as they also return the favor,’ Boykin said in a statement . ‘Equality is treating everyone with equal respect regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation, religion, political party, or opinions.’ Boykin is running for the seat currently occupied by Amos Quick, an African-American man serving in his first term.
