The slow jam produced by acclaimed UK artist Maths Time Joy features a steamy lyrics video.

‘I’m very proud of this song because I didn’t try to structure or rhyme it, as opposed to other songs’ Alextbh told i-D magazine.

‘My mind works in a really pop structured way. But that song, I just spoke my mind…’ he said. Since his 2016 debut release tbh, Alextbh has amassed over 15 million Spotify streams.

The 22-year-old self-starter began producing music in his bedroom with the aid of Youtube tutorials just a few years ago.

Last month, he told Gay Star News he was ‘just a heartbroken twink putting music up on SoundCloud’ before his talent was recognized.

Alextbh is an outspoken supporter of LGBTI rights. In Malaysia, gay sex is illegal and the government has recently led a crackdown on the community.

He told Gay Star News that with his music he wants to ‘put a spotlight on [LGBTI] existence, considering how badly erased we are in history’.

The release came less than a week after Alex opened for Khalid in his hometown of Kuala Lumpur.

Alextbh performed with his trademark rainbow flag and made a number of pro-LGBTI statements. thank u for being so brave & conveying such an important message @_alextbh pic.twitter.com/i2jxbTLndM — ㅤㅤ (@simplyyreanne) November 4, 2018
